Sixth Grade · the elementary-to-secondary jump, a real schedule, an advisory anchor
Sixth Grade in Texas

What Sixth Grade looks like here
The elementary-to-secondary transition year; a student learning to run a multi-teacher, multi-class day with a locker and a schedule for the first time.
Sixth grade is the first true schedule: the scheduling core carries the student's sections, periods, and terms across many teachers on one roster.
From the top of elementary into secondary structure -- the single biggest change on the ladder. The scheduling and multi-gradebook model introduced in fifth grade is now the daily reality.
Standards
The academic standards Sixth Grade follows in Texas
Texas adopts its own academic standards; the Texas Education Agency is the authority that sets what a public school teaches. Below are the real, currently listed Texas standards documents for Grades 6-8, by subject, with a link to each one so you can read it at the source. We write our own free Sixth Grade materials to align with them; we are not the Texas Education Agency, and we are not endorsed, approved by, or affiliated with it.

Honest by default
The school stays the FERPA custodian of student records; a rep-scoped view reads zero grade rows at the database engine. Money, pricing, and checkout are honest-off on this page, and any school count above is an NCES Common Core of Data reference figure, never a claim of adoption in Texas.
